We will be discussing the ceremonial procession that leaves the Temple of Heaven and proceeds down the 3 tiered stairway towards a large gate where beyond we see the next structure rising,
an umbrella roofed Imperial Hall of the Heavens where the tablets containing the names of the gods are stored.

We also take a look at the large ceramic ovens and the many brass containers holding aromatic leaves which were used to cook and smoke the feast of animal meats freshly sacrificed for the huge ensemble.

We Continue our tour of the Temple of Heaven complex walking out along the ceremonial route to the 3 arched gateway which leads to the Echo Wall, a circular wall engineered to create 3 echos when standing on selected center stones, and the various changing halls, and Halls of Imperial Peace, where tablets with the names of the gods being evoked for good harvests, and prayer tablets are stored.

The complex ends at a circular stone embedded in the center of a circular, 3 tiered high platform that represents the heavens, framed in a rectangular wall and patio area that represents the earth.
